SHAKIRA, THE Colombian singer has sung the Official FIFA 2010 World Cup Song for the second time. Shakira was given the honour of performing at the 2006 Official World Cup along with Wyclef Jean where she had given a song performance on 'Hips Don't Lie'.
The Official 2010 World Cup song 'Waka Waka' has catchy yet meaningful lyrics which gives an apt feeling about what FIFA World Cup means to its fans. 'Waka Waka' was written, produced and sung by Shakira along with a South African band Freshyground.
The song will reportedly be performed at the opening as well as closing ceremony of FIFA World Cup 2010 which will start on June 11 & July 11. The song is also a part of the Official World Cup music album which has performances by national and international singers like Daddy Yankee, David Bisbal, Akon and K' Naan.
