Liverpool striker Andy Carroll has expressed his satisfaction over the Reds current form in the ongoing 2011/12 Barclays Premier League season.
The Merseyside club began the current league campaign brightly as they secured two wins and a draw in their first three fixtures. However, the Reds impressive run was halted by two successive away defeats.
Dalglish’s experienced a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Stoke City which was followed by a humiliating 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur.
However, Liverpool responded with a 2-1 home win over Wolverhampton Wanderers and stretched their winning streak with a comfortable victory against Everton at Goodison Park.
Liverpool, who are firm favourites to secure Champions League qualification this season, are currently placed fifth in the table and Carroll is happy with their performance in the Premier League so far.
The English striker is impressed with the Reds instant recovery from the embarrassing defeat against Tottenham Hotspurs and added, "We have been doing well. Obviously there was a blip against Tottenham but the lads have been keeping together and we showed that spirit in the derby.”
Carroll scored his first league goal of the season in seven matches, against Everton. The English striker is happy to get off the mark with a win over the fierce local rivals, and has urged his team mates to continue their impressive form.
The 22-year-old stated, "Scoring against Everton and beating them at their place is special but you have to keep it going.”
After scoring his first goal in the league, Carroll has now set his sights to add to his tally and the English striker is confident that he can inspire Liverpool in high profile games this season.
The Reds will play their next league match against current Premier League leaders, Manchester United, and Carroll is hoping to get a goal against the English champions.
"We've got Man United next game and I've got to make sure I keep doing well week in and week out now.”
